Job Description Legal Counsel
We are searching for a Legal Counsel for the corporate headquarters in Amsterdam. Your basis is Dutch law, yet you will have a broad and international practice. At headquarters you will be part of a small and dedicated legal team of seven professionals led by the General Counsel & Company Secretary. Your role includes advising on contract law (including IT contracts), as well as advising on corporate, financial, regulatory, sustainability, Health &Safety and other matters. You are particularly experienced in the field of employment law and employee benefits. You will cooperate closely with internal and external specialists in the fields of HR, Finance, Compliance, IT, Tax, Risk Management, and Health & Safety. You will be a member of the International Legal Counsel Group of our client and as such be responsible for implementing and driving global initiatives as well as advising, supporting and guiding the Regional General Counsels and their legal teams in the various regions (a.o. Hong Kong, Dubai, Sidney, Sao Paulo) and business lines.
Qualifications Legal Counsel
You have a Dutch Master of Laws (LLM) degree and 6-10 years of experience, of which at least four years in an international law firm working for multinational (listed) clients. In-depth knowledge of, and experience with employment law and contract law (including IT contracts) is a must-have. Experience in driving (trans)actions and affinity with corporate law are beneficial.
