The mission of our client, Ohpen, is to develop the best core banking platform in the world. They have created a “Bank-out-of-the-box” solution that delivers an alternative for financial services and asset management companies to digitalise and outsource their entire investments and savings accounts operations. They have seen massive growth in the company these past two years, with a lot of new faces in the office and a number of new clients. Due to the growth of the company we are now looking for a legal counsel, based in Amsterdam. A great opportunity if you are interested in working in a real fintech environment.
Job description Legal Counsel Fintech- Ohpen
As a legal counsel you will provide legal advice, guidance and support to the business. A very important task is to draft, review and negotiate business related contracts (IT/IP, privacy). You pro-actively will be participating in project teams to engage and implement new business. Another important part of the job is to draft, review, advice and revise compliance policies and procedures to ensure that our clients practices remain compliant with all current laws, rules and regulations.
Requirements Legal Counsel Fintech- Ohpen
You have at least 5 years working experience with a law firm or as an in-house legal counsel. Excellent contract drafting and negotiating skills in English. You have affinity with technology and understanding of related legislation (e.g. Data Protection). Knowledge of financial services, in particular asset management, and related legislation would be a nice asset.
Service minded self-starter with ability to work independently with great communication and interpersonal skills. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English.
